Look for a karat stamp such as 14K or 18K on the case back. If there's none, or it says "plated" or "GF", bring or send it in and we'll test it for free.

Sometimes. A working watch from a sought-after brand can be worth more as a timepiece. Tell us the brand and model and we'll advise you before you sell.
What about diamonds on the bezel or dial?
